Running for Tukwila Mayor

Thank You for Supporting My 2023 Campaign!          Kate Kruller For Tukwila Mayor

I want to thank many of my neighbors, businesses, friends and Tukwila residents that I have known across 32 years, in my run to be the first woman Mayor of Tukwila ever in its 115-year history.

Everyone knows I put people first and actively serve my community – to solve problems, help feed or house people, find jobs or improve work conditions, provide a brighter future for our youth, support our senior citizens and veterans, protect renters and help businesses thrive.

Together, our vision for Tukwila were based on your priorities:

  • Affordable housing and safe neighborhoods
  • Reliable public safety services
  • Improved transportation options
  • Responsible city budgets

These priorities reflect our values and provide you with the quality of life you deserve.

Entering the race for Mayor meant forfeiting my seat on the City Council after serving you for the past 12 years.  I’m excited that Jovita McConnell ran for and is filling the seat at Position 6!   She will do a great job and you should feel comfortable bringing any issues or needs you have to her.  She’ll be a solid advocate.

What hasn’t changed is that I will continue in as many ways possible my longstanding service to Tukwila!  I will work hard to stay in touch as a member of our local Rotary Club.   I’ve already worked hard on the winning “Yes For Tukwila Schools” levy campaign.  I will continue and increase my efforts through the Tukwila Children’s Foundation.  And I’ve been asked to join the Board for the Salvation Army in King County.  They captured my heart through their Street Level Program helping house people living in their cars, their regional Toy Drive for children, Shop with a Kid Program and through its Salvation Army store in Tukwila!

As, always, I pledge to continue to serve you with integrity, hard work, and common sense.  Be sure to say “hello” when you find me out and about in Tukwila!

With regards,

Kate Kruller
